August 30, 2007

The 2007 Season is drawing to a close fast, as the kids are getting
ready to head back to school and Fall will be upon us soon. The Series
points battle is so close, that the top 4 need to be really at the top of
their game to come out on top on October 19th.

Just like
Regional International Truck Trailer and Bus of Rochester NY
is the cream of the crop when it comes to selling you a new or used
Truck or Trailer. And the way they service these vehicle with thier top
notch facilities and technicians, Teams have been gearing up for the
Biggest night of the Season. Double points and lap sponsor money is
up for grabs, as is the Top Spot in the points standings.

Chris Leroux in the #32 Money Management LTD. Chevy, has had a
few weeks of bad luck, Handing over the points lead to Terry Povoski in
the #4 Lamoka Valley Builders Dodge by just 4 points. Leroux still has
a chance to win the Title, needing only to finish in the same position or
better as the 4, and then finishing at least one position ahead of
Povoski in the Feature event. Both drivers have been strong all year
long, and with some of the ‘rookies’ in the class starting to find their
groove, the final event should be a great race to watch.

Don’t count Jason White out in the #35 Water St Pharmacy/ Boulas
Gun Shop Ford. While not having the best of luck in the weekly racing at
Blackrock Speedway, has enjoyed running in the top 5 in the series,
posting a 2nd place finish at Woodhull Raceway, 3rd at
Genesee
Speedway, and leading a lot of laps along the way. The 35 Team has
come a long way this season, and will definitely be going for the win as
they seem to have gotten all the bugs worked out of the truck and are
running strong. It would be a longshot, but should the 4 and 32
encounter major problems in the heat, and Jason was to win his heat
and Feature, could possibly walk away with the top honors.

Tied for 4th going into the last race is Jared Hill in the #93 Creekside
Racing Ford and Mike Warren in the #5 H&W Motorsports Ford. Both
have had an up and down season. But when either of the two are on top
of things they are up front and racing hard.
Jared and Mike still have a great chance to better their positions in the
final standings but are pretty much out of the chase for the
championship. Jared has been one of the only Drivers to top Povoski
and Leroux in the weekly competition at Blackrock, and will be looking
for win number 5 in the weeks to some. And possibly his first Win in the
series on Oct. 19th.

Doug Buckley in the #2
Teed Chassis Dodge has been plagued with
power plant problems this season. But his Team Gets him to the track
every race and they but their best foot forward whenever they come
through the back gate at the track. Doug is about the most experienced
“truck” Driver in this group, Having stuck with the class for several years
owning his own truck, then becoming driver for Teed Chassis. He is a
driver that is capable of winning on any given night, and has the
equipment to get him there. Talking with Doug and Team Owner Bob
Teed Sr., they are both a little disappointed they way this season has
gone for them, after coming off a 2nd place overall finish last year, but
they are still having fun every night and that’s what its all about.

There have been a handful of substitute drivers in various trucks, such
as John Sutrick, Shawn Brace, in Louie Seeleys #26 Veley Enterprises
Ford, BRP driver Jason Knowles and former Pro Truck Champion Joe
Povoski in the H&W Motorsports Dodge,
Mike Buchanon and Tim Povoski sharing a ride. Ken Houck piloting his
own H&W Dodge, And most recently BRP Late Model Driver Jessica
“The Quick Chick” Pierce will be behind the wheel on the H&W
Motorsports #5 Ford for the remainder of the season. Newcomer
Everett Baker in his #66 Chevy Joined us at Canandaigua, and hopes
to run the full tour next season. Without the support of these part time
drivers and teams the tour would not be what it is. The seat time
provided to some of the drivers have given them the opportunity to
experience what a fun class this is, and also to see what a great group
this is behind the scenes.
More to come soon in the coming weeks as sponsorship deals are
being negotiated and the 2008 schedule is being ironed out. Keep up
the good work Pro Truck Teams, You all deserve a huge pat on the
back for your efforts.
