Right off the bat, I want to extend a large THANK YOU to the teams that
made the haul to Genesee Speedway. I know the crew at Creekside
racing made a very good effort to get the 5 going for this race, and I
also appreciate their efforts in trying to help keep the numbers up. The
Management at Genesee Speedway went over and above our
expectations with what we brought them, I hope to be able to return
there someday with better numbers. I have heard nothing but good
things from teams, and fans alike about the race, and the hospitality we
were shown, A true class act operation at that facility.
The single heat race left Terry Povoski and Mike Warren on the front
row for the feature in a heads up qualifying event. But not to be as the
field was inverted to make things interesting.

Doug Buckley and Jason White would set the front row for the Regional
International Pro Truck feature. Shawn Brace was set to have the pole,
only to have starting issues in the lineup and just made it out for the
feature, causing him to start scratch as the field was about to go green.
Jason White jumped to the early lead as Doug Buckley and Mike
Warren ( driving the #8 Dodge)battled for the 2nd spot. A multi truck
wreck on lap 2 would wipe out 3 of the Pro Trucks. Jason White would
keep the lead but would later lose the lead as he jumped the cushion in
turn 1 giving the lead to Terry Povoski. Warren would look to the inside
several times but couldn’t complete the pass. The two made contact
more than once but still made it a clean , close race. Povoski would go
on to score the win followed by Mike Warren and Jason White.
With Povoski scoring his second Series win, he now leads the points
standings going into the final race, which will be a double points night
