RPTT Hosts Rookie Battle, closing in on new Tech Inspector

CORNING, NY - Amid all the major news pouring out the Regional Pro Truck Tour, some more
personal notes slipped through the cracks, but they are more-than-worthy of recognition.

Mike Warren, a driver and Regional Pro Truck Tour promoter and director, was featured in an
interview with Kenny Shupp, Steve Kellogg and Dirt Track Digests Tom Ames of DTD fame, on
the award-winning Life in the Fast Lane Radio last Monday on FM 92.1 WCKR or AM 1480 WELA

For the first time, there will be a Rookie of the Year battle among newcomers; Christian
Thompson, Mark Guinup and Jessica Pierce have confirmed their entries and will climb aboard a
truck this year.

The series is still soliciting a Rookie of the Year sponsor for 2008.

In an effort to promote those that support the RPTT race teams, www.protrucktour.com, has
reserved space for the various team's sponsors.

"We'll highlight the people backing our race teams," Warren said. "We'll post logos and links, or if
the customer has no website, a small advertising page with be constructed for them at no cost."

Racing weekly is hard enough, and those tests and challenges are amplified when traveling to
different tracks week after week.

“I know it’s hard to get and keep sponsors when your part of a traveling series.” Warren said.
“Without Sponsors, we will have no teams, and with no teams there would be no tour. I am doing
this to help teams and their sponsors in whatever way I can.”

An information form can be printed off the website, filled out and emailed, faxed or mailed back to
the tour, and the sponsor's information will be added. The pages can be updated as the sponsor
sees the need.

The series has also adopted a way of recognizing their defending champion, reserving the
number “1” entry for that truck.

Should Terry Povoski choose to return this season, he would be eligible to use the No. 1 on his
truck since he won the Inaugural Championship.

Terry’s No. 4 would be reserved until the seasons end, where he could re-register it for 2009. The
Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints and several other series do this, and received positive feedback.

"We thought this would be a great way to carry over into the next season, to Honor the Champion
at more than just the Banquet and be able to show the fans who the defending champion is,"
Warren said.

The tour is also in the final stages of hiring a full time tech inspector. The individual in that role will
have reviewed the rulebook, and will know the intentions of the rules and the proper
interpretations of them.
