Povoski captures first win in Series event. While the counts were
not what was expected, The teams that did make the show did their
best to unseat point leader Chris Leroux from his throne. Both Terry and
Chris have been having top three finishes, and Ralph Champion jr is hot
on thier heels in points as we enter the second half of the season.
Jason White and Louie Seeley used the redraw to thier advantage,
drawing the front row positions, and did thier best to hold off the super
fast Leroux, who was definetly the fastest truck, but just could not get by
the Flyin Povoski in the closing laps.
Only a couple of cautions marred the event, and we would like to thank
the officials who helped with the communication issues.
Ralph Champion Jr had another good run, finishing third to Jason White
and Mike Warren. Both Warren and White having unassisted spins,
were able to salvage a decent finish. It was a learning experience for
many teams, after the race, most of the guys were discussing what
changes they thought they should have made for the flat and tight
surface, and I'm sure if given another opportunity, most of us would like
to give the 4 and the 32 and run for their money.
Quote for the week: "In a 25 lap race, your NOT going to win on lap
ONE".
