The Regional International Pro Truck Series is now less than one week
away from kicking off it's inaugural season at Thunder Mountain
Speedway in Center Lisle , NY.   Thunder, which was scheduled to
open this weekend, was heavily soaked with rain and snow during the
recent storms, and track officials decided to pull the plug in an effort to
save the track surface. Their new opening night card remains just about
the same, with a dollar off admission in the grandstands if you donate a
can of food for the Food Pantry.
Ralph Champion Jr. is the only truck on the current roster that has raced
his truck on the fast 3/8 clay oval. So he might have a slight advantage
over some of the rest of the teams.
All of the teams are anxious to get the series underway, and we are
very excited about being a part of the season lid lifter.  A few are still
putting the finishing touches on their program, we expect a full field.
The series would like to recognize Alex Cummings, who, while being a
flagger at the speedway, will also help with the write up of the Opening
Night activities.

On a side note, the Tour is still seeking several event sponsors and
marketing partners, and also the lap bonus program will be open in just
a few days, for the final 30 Lap race at Blackrock Speedway on Oct
19th. Lap sponsorships will only cost $25.00,  and again, with 5 dollars
from every lap sponsor going into a pot that one of the sponsors will
win!  You can contact Mike Warren for details at 607-329-6805 or
webmaster@protrucktour.com. Within the next week also, you will be
able to purchase your lap sponsorship online via PayPal.
Looking Forward to Seeing everyone at Thunder Mountain April 28th,
2007 and then again at Woodhull Raceway on Memorial Day!
